At Sykes Cottages, we are experiencing a significant increase in bookings, due to a huge surge in demand for UK holidays. We are expanding our Operations team to meet this high demand, with the best and brightest local talent.

We are seeking a capable and experienced call center professional to join our Customer Support team as our newest Customer Support Assistant at our Chester head office. You will be crucial in communicating effectively and professionally with Sykes Customers and Property Owners daily whilst delivering our gold-standard level of service.

As our newest addition, you will be responsible for answering queries and aiding in driving appropriate questions online. The role requires a proactive approach to dealing with customers whilst having an in-depth knowledge of Sykes processes and supporting customers and owners through the online process. You will be responsible for ensuring that every customer contact maximises income per booking, that the quality of the contact exceeds customer expectations and that all Company procedures are adhered to.

As our newest Customer Support Assistant, you will have the following key skills:
Essential to have:
- Previous experience in a similar Customer Service or Customer Support position
- Proven Customer Service experience within a call centre environment
- Telephony experience dealing with customers queries
- Skills in negotiating
- Excellent communication skills

As our newest Customer Support Assistant, you will be responsible for the following:
- To deliver outstanding customer service on every call and going the extra mile for our customers
- To resolve customer/owner issues in a timely manner and in line with the overall Company Guidelines
- Feeding back to Reservations/Customer Service/Ops Team Manager’s on opportunities to enhance the customer experience
- Feeding back to Reservations/Customer Service/Ops Team Manager’s on opportunities to improve Sykes processes
- To adhere to all Customer Support Team and Company procedures
- Effective communication with customers, both internal and external

Hours of work will be 37.5 per week to be worked on a shift rota basis covering evenings and two weekends a month. Department opening hours are 9am - 7pm however during peak times these will be extended to 9pm.
